We’re working with a forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Birmingham to recruit a Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant. This full-time, long-term role is perfect for a STEM graduate eager to support the next generation of scientists, engineers, and technologists.

Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting students in KS3 and KS4 Science, Maths, and/or Computing lessons
- Assisting with practical experiments, technical demonstrations, and problem-solving activities
- Delivering 1:1 or small group academic interventions to boost progress and confidence
- Encouraging curiosity, independent learning, and STEM-based enquiry
- Helping manage classroom behaviour and creating a productive learning environment
- Contributing to STEM clubs, competitions, and school-wide enrichment events
- Collaborating with teachers to plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons
Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:
- A 2:1 degree or higher in a STEM subject (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Engineering, Computer Science)
- A strong interest in education and a passion for STEM learning
- Any prior experience working with young people or tutoring is a bonus
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- A motivated, patient, and proactive attitude to supporting students
- Ambitions to pursue a career in teaching, education, or STEM outreach
