KPI Education is partnering with outstanding secondary schools across Leeds to recruit passionate Graduate STEM Teaching Assistants for full-time, long-term roles starting September 2026.
The Role
As a Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced teachers in Science, Maths, and Technology classrooms, supporting pupils across Key Stage 3 and 4. Whether it's breaking down a tricky equation, sparking curiosity in a lab, or helping a student finally grasp a concept they've been struggling with — your impact will be felt every day.
You'll deliver in-class support, lead small-group interventions, and provide 1:1 academic guidance, playing a key role in helping pupils build confidence and achieve their potential in STEM subjects.
What's on Offer
- Up to £560 per week
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, term-time only
- Long-term placement running through to July 2026, with strong potential to continue
- Roles available across Science, Maths, Computing, and Technology
- Ongoing CPD and dedicated mentorship from experienced educators
- Clear progression routes into Teacher Training from September 2026
- All schools are well connected to Leeds city centre by public transport
Who We're Looking For
- A 2:1 degree or above in a STEM subject or closely related discipline
- A genuine enthusiasm for science, maths, or technology and a desire to share it
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly and patiently
- Some experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential
- Motivated, reliable, and committed to making a positive difference in the classroom
- Must have the right to work in the UK
