KPI Education are working with a high-performing school in Brent to recruit an enthusiastic and academically strong Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant for an ASAP start.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates with a background in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related subject to use their academic knowledge to support students and gain hands-on experience in education.

The Role

As a Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support teachers with Maths, Science, Computer Science and other STEM subjects.

• Provide 1-to-1 and small-group academic support.

• Help students understand challenging STEM concepts and strengthen subject knowledge.

• Develop pupils' problem-solving, analytical and logical-thinking skills.

• Assist with practical activities, experiments and STEM projects.

• Support students with homework, coursework, revision and exam preparation.

• Encourage confidence, curiosity and engagement in STEM subjects.

• Provide additional support to students who require academic assistance.

• Help prepare STEM resources and classroom materials.

• Work with teachers to monitor student progress and identify areas for development.

• Encourage students to apply STEM knowledge to real-world situations.

• Act as a positive role model and promote interest in STEM subjects and careers.

About You

The successful Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant will have:

• A First Class or 2:1 degree in a STEM-related subject.

• Strong academic knowledge in Maths, Science, Engineering, Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.

• A genuine interest in education and supporting young people.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• The ability to explain complex concepts clearly and accessibly.

• A patient, enthusiastic and encouraging approach.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Confidence working independently and as part of a team.

• Previous tutoring, mentoring, coaching or youth work experience is advantageous but not essential.
