This opportunity is ideally suited to graduates with degrees in core academic subjects who are planning to progress into teacher training.

Role Overview

In this role, you will work as part of a dedicated teaching and pastoral team, supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 and contributing directly to academic progress and classroom engagement.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering tailored 1:1 and small-group support sessions.
  • Supporting learning across core curriculum subjects, including English, Maths, Science, and Humanities.
  • Assisting teachers with lesson activities, classroom routines, and behaviour support.
  • Running focused intervention programmes to boost attainment.
  • Working with students who have additional needs.
  • Helping track progress and contributing to assessment and feedback processes.

This position provides an excellent foundation for future applications to PGCE, Schools Direct, or salaried teacher training programmes.

Candidate Requirements

    • English, Mathematics, or Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
    • Humanities subjects such as History, Geography, RE, Politics, or Sociology.
