The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across a variety of subjects. Working closely with experienced teachers, you will help students to achieve their full academic potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to students across KS3 and KS4.
• Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Supporting students with different learning needs and abilities.
• Helping to raise attainment and improve student confidence.
• Assisting with lesson preparation, resources, and classroom organisation.
• Promoting positive behaviour and a supportive learning environment.
• Building strong relationships with students to support their academic and personal development.

This role offers a fantastic introduction to secondary education and is ideal preparation for a PGCE or teacher training pathway.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for graduates who:

• Hold a 2:1 degree or above in core subjects or related subjects.
• Have a genuine passion for education and working with young people.
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Are proactive, professional, and adaptable.
• Are considering a future career in teaching or education.
• Have experience working with young people (desirable but not essential).
