An exceptional secondary school in Kensington is searching for an ambitious Graduate Teaching Assistant to join its thriving team this September.

This is the ideal opportunity for a graduate who is passionate about education and wants to gain meaningful classroom experience before pursuing teacher training or a career in educational psychology, speech and language therapy, SEN, pastoral care or wider education.

The school prides itself on developing graduates into outstanding education professionals. You won't simply observe lessons—you'll become an integral part of the teaching team, supporting students academically and personally while learning from some of the best educators in London.

Every day presents a new opportunity to build confidence, develop professional skills and have a lasting impact on young people during one of the most important stages of their education.

The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Support students in lessons across a range of subjects.
  • Deliver targeted intervention sessions to raise attainment.
  • Mentor pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis.
  • Help prepare engaging learning resources.
  • Encourage confidence, resilience and a love of learning.
  • Work closely with experienced teachers and senior leaders.
  • Develop the practical classroom skills needed for future teacher training.

Why You'll Love This School

  • Competitive salary of £25,000-£30,000.
  • Term-time only with school holidays off.
  • Outstanding mentoring from experienced teachers and middle leaders.
  • Exceptional CPD programme designed specifically for graduates.
  • State-of-the-art facilities and modern learning spaces.
  • Diverse, ambitious and highly engaged student community.
  • Excellent transport connections across Central and West London.
  • Proven track record of graduates progressing into salaried teacher training and PGCE programmes.

We're Looking For

  • A graduate with a 2:1 or First-Class degree (all academic disciplines welcome).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive, enthusiastic and resilient attitude.
  • Someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to make a difference.
  • An individual considering a long-term career within education.

This is far more than a classroom support role—it's the perfect launchpad into a rewarding profession where every day brings new challenges, new achievements and the opportunity to shape young lives.

If you're ready to begin your journey into education this September, send your CV and a Cover Letter to Ryan at KPI Education today. Interviews are taking place now, and exceptional graduates will be shortlisted immediately.
