KPI Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Brentford to recruit a motivated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.

The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to support learning, engagement, and attainment across a range of subjects.

You will play an active role in helping students overcome barriers to learning while contributing to a positive and structured classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Provide targeted 1:1 and small group intervention sessions to raise attainment.
  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom resources, and learning activities.
  • Support students with a range of abilities, including those with additional learning needs (SEN).
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement in line with school policies.
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and resilience in learners.
  • Track student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Contribute to a supportive and inclusive school environment.

Candidate Requirements

  • A minimum 2:1 Bachelor’s degree in any subject discipline.
  • Strong academic background and genuine interest in education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, patient, and adaptable approach to working with young people.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Experience working with young people (tutoring, mentoring, coaching, youth work) is desirable but not essential.
  • A commitment to pursuing a long-term career in education is advantageous.
