You'll work alongside experienced teachers and senior leaders, gaining hands-on classroom experience while developing essential skills in communication, behaviour management, pupil support and learning.

Graduates from any degree subject are encouraged to apply. Applications are particularly welcomed from candidates who have achieved a First Class, 2:1 or 2:2 degree.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting both pupils and teachers throughout the school day.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting teachers to deliver engaging, inclusive and effective lessons across the curriculum

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils

  • Supporting literacy, numeracy and subject-specific learning

  • Helping pupils who require additional guidance, encouragement or reassurance

  • Supporting children with SEND and helping remove barriers to learning

  • Promoting positive behaviour, confidence, resilience and independence

  • Assisting with lesson preparation, classroom organisation and learning resources

  • Building positive and professional relationships with pupils and staff

  • Encouraging pupils to participate actively in their learning

  • Helping create a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment where every pupil can thrive

What We're Looking For

We're looking for enthusiastic graduates who are passionate about education and keen to gain meaningful experience within a school environment.

You'll ideally have:

  • A First Class, 2:1 or 2:2 degree

  • A degree in any subject

  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A positive, proactive and professional attitude

  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils

  • A willingness to learn from experienced teachers and education professionals

  • A genuine ambition to develop a long-term career within education

  • The right to work in the UK on a full-time basis

Previous experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential.
