What You'll Be Doing
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting pupils and teachers across the school.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons across the curriculum
- Working with pupils on 1:1 and small-group interventions
- Supporting literacy, numeracy and subject-specific learning
- Providing additional support to pupils who need extra guidance or encouragement
- Supporting children with SEND and helping remove barriers to learning
- Promoting positive behaviour, confidence, resilience and independence
- Assisting with lesson preparation, classroom organisation and learning resources
- Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Helping create a safe, inclusive and engaging environment where every pupil can thrive
What We're Looking For
We're looking for graduates who are enthusiastic about starting a career in education and are keen to gain valuable experience in a school environment.
You'll ideally have:
- A First Class or 2:1 degree - A degree in any subject
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, proactive and professional attitude
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
- A willingness to learn from experienced educators
- A genuine ambition to pursue a long-term career within education
- The right to work in the UK on a full-time basis
Previous experience working with children is beneficial but not essential.
