A welcoming and inclusive school in Leek (ST13 5JW) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates to gain practical experience within an educational setting, develop essential classroom skills, and build a strong foundation for a successful career working with children and young people.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and wider support teams to help pupils achieve their academic, social, and emotional potential.

About You, To be considered for this role, you will :
- Hold a 2:1 degree or above (or be predicted to achieve this)
- Demonstrate a positive, proactive, and professional attitude
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be passionate about supporting children's learning and development
- Be eager to gain practical experience within a school environment
- Be considering a future career in teaching, education, or a related profession
- Have the right to work in the UK
The Role, Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting classroom learning across a range of curriculum areas
- Delivering targeted literacy, numeracy, and subject-specific interventions to individuals and small groups
- Providing personalised 1:1 support for pupils requiring additional guidance
- Supporting pupils with SEND and helping to remove barriers to learning
- Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence, independence, and engagement
- Assisting with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and learning resources
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment where every pupil can thrive
