Are you a Physics graduate with a 1st or 2:1 degree who’s passionate about inspiring young minds and pursuing a career in teaching?
An Outstanding Secondary School & Sixth Form in Ilford, East London is looking for a dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant (Physics) to join their high-achieving Science Department immediately.

The Role:

  • Support students in Physics and General Science across Key Stages 3–5

  • Assist experienced Science teachers in delivering engaging, practical lessons

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group intervention to help raise attainment

  • Gain invaluable classroom experience before progressing to teacher training

  • Opportunity to join a salaried teacher training programme (starting September 2026) leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

The Candidate:

  • Recent Physics graduate with a minimum 2:1 or First-Class degree

  • Passionate about Science and education

  • Confident, enthusiastic, and eager to work with young people

  • Aspiring teacher seeking hands-on experience in a supportive school

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
