Graduate Teaching Assistant – Secondary School
Location: Merton, South West London
Role: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30am–16:00pm
Salary: £500–£600 per week, term time only

Who we’re looking for
- Must have a University Degree (2:1 or higher)
- Genuine interest in making an impact on students as a teacher assistant
- Eagerness to utilise all training and personal development opportunities
- No experience is needed
- Some experience working with young people; Supply teacher, unqualified teaching assistant, ESOL, midday supervisor or tutor is desirable but not essential
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small group academic support
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Support students of all abilities, from high achievers to those needing extra help
- Develop strong relationships with pupils, inspiring them to reach their potential
- Contribute to the wider school community in extra-curricular activities and enrichment
- Work alongside experienced teachers, gaining insight into effective classroom practice and teacher training routes for 2026
