Graduate Teaching Assistant – Job Description

• Support History or Geography across KS3, KS4 & KS5
• Large Academy School – 1350 pupils 11-18 years
• Humanities graduate needed – 1^st and 2.1 degrees are preferred
• Diverse and multi-cultural catchment area
• Planned teacher training from September 2024
• As a Graduate Teaching Assistant – earn £475 to £500 per week
• Monday to Friday 8.25 to 3.25pm
• ASAP start and placement for the remainder of this Academic Year
• Woolwich, Greenwich – South London

This progressive secondary school is looking for a graduate teaching assistant to support history and/or geography for the remainder of this academic year.

The style of teaching at this school is dynamic and “action” orientated. Humanities teachers are tasked with providing exciting lessons that use relevant resources to help pupils to relate to the subject in hand. The Humanities department lead a number of visits and "Beyond the classroom" experiences to engage learners in the humanities curricullum. 

The school is a modern build facility – less than 5 years old. The teaching team have access to excellent resources and pupils are taught in a safe and engaging environment.
