About the Role – Graduate Unqualified Maths Teacher

As a Graduate Unqualified Maths Teacher, you’ll become an integral part of a supportive and high-performing Maths team. You’ll begin by delivering small-group sessions, assisting with lesson planning, and working closely with pupils who require additional academic support. Over time, you’ll take on more responsibility in lesson delivery and classroom management, building the skills and confidence needed for a successful teaching career.

Key Responsibilities – Graduate Unqualified Maths Teacher

  • Support the planning and delivery of engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Deliver targeted interventions and 1:1 support for students working toward their GCSEs.
  • Assist in developing resources and adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Track student progress and provide feedback under the guidance of qualified Maths teachers.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Engage with wider school life, including extracurricular maths activities and enrichment programmes.

Candidate Requirements – Graduate Unqualified Maths Teacher

We’re looking for a confident and committed graduate who offers:

  • A 2:1 or above in Mathematics, or a related subject such as Engineering, Physics, or Economics.
  • Strong A-Level and GCSE results in Maths.
  • A genuine passion for mathematics and a desire to share that enthusiasm with students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, reflective approach and a willingness to learn from experienced staff.
  • Experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is beneficial but not essential.
