We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic graduate to join the team as an Unqualified Maths Teacher at a reputable, high-achieving secondary school in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to pursue a career in education to gain invaluable classroom experience before training to become a qualified teacher.

 

What's the role?

You'll be teaching effective maths lessons to children working across Key Stage 3 and 4 to support children with varying abilities and contributing to a positive learning environment.

As a Graduate Unqualified Maths Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality maths lessons under the guidance of experienced educators
  • Support student progress and attainment through effective teaching strategies
  • Assess, monitor and report on student progress
  • Manage the classroom in line with school policies
  • Contribute to the inclusive school community

 

Who are we looking for?

  • A 2:1 or higher degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine interest in working with young people
  • Resilience, adaptability and a willingness to learn

Previous experience of working with young people is desirable but not essential.
