The Role – Graduate Unqualified Teacher
As a Graduate Unqualified Teacher, you’ll work within your specialist subject area to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Your role will grow over the academic year – beginning with small group support and teaching assistance before gradually progressing to delivering lessons under the guidance of experienced teachers.
This full-time position runs from September 2025 to July 2026, providing an ideal platform for graduates who are keen to explore teaching and secure a place on a QTS programme.
Key Responsibilities – Graduate Unqualified Teacher:
- Deliver small-group interventions and assist with whole-class teaching
- Support planning, resourcing, and delivery of lessons in your subject area
- Develop classroom management and behaviour support strategies
- Receive ongoing mentoring and structured CPD from qualified teaching staff
- Contribute to the academic and personal development of students
- Play an active role in the school community and extracurricular activities
Candidate Profile – Graduate Unqualified Teacher
We are looking for graduates who are committed, confident, and eager to learn. Ideal candidates will offer:
- A 2:1 degree or higher in a relevant subject discipline
- A genuine interest in a long-term career in teaching or education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, flexible approach with the ability to work well in a team
- Experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, coaching, volunteering) is desirable but not essential
- Full-time availability from September 2025
