History Graduate Teaching Assistant - What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting pupils in History lessons and potentially other Humanities subjects
- Assisting in the planning and delivery of engaging, informative lessons
- Working with students 1:1 or in small groups to reinforce learning
- Promoting critical thinking, historical awareness, and curiosity
- Helping manage classroom behaviour and maintaining a productive environment
- Collaborating with teachers and support staff to maximise student progress
- Participating in school events, enrichment activities, and extracurricular clubs
- Building confidence and aspiration in students through consistent support
History Graduate Teaching Assistant - What We’re Looking For
- A 2:1 degree or above in History or a related Humanities subject
- A strong interest in education and supporting young people
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach
- Confidence working with secondary-aged students (experience a bonus, not essential)
- A genuine ambition to pursue a career in teaching, youth work, or academic support
