About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate educator who can inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of history across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a strong focus on preparing students for GCSE success.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous lessons across a range of historical modules leading up to GCSE, including:
- Early Modern Britain (e.g., Tudor and Stuart Britain)
- The Industrial Revolution and the development of modern Britain
- The First World War and the Second World War
- Germany and 20th Century
- The Cold War and international relations
- Medicine Through Time
- Conflict and tension in the modern world
You will play a key role in curriculum planning, assessment preparation, and ensuring students are equipped with the analytical, evaluative, and exam skills required to excel at GCSE.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 History
- A proven track record (or clear potential) of raising attainment
- Commitment to high standards and inclusive practice
- A collaborative and reflective approach to teaching
