We are seeking a committed, skilled and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant all-through school in Croydon from May 2026.

You will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning, leading lessons, and helping pupils achieve their full potential.
The Role
As an HLTA, you will:
- Deliver high-quality lessons to whole classes during teacher PPA, absence, or planned release time
- Support teaching and learning across Early Years, Primary and/or Secondary phases (experience dependent)
- Plan, prepare and assess learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff
- Provide targeted intervention support for individuals and small groups
- Contribute to behaviour management in line with school policy
- Support curriculum enrichment and whole-school initiatives
This role would suit an experienced HLTA or an ambitious Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step in their career.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Holds HLTA status (or equivalent experience)
- Has strong curriculum knowledge across at least one key stage
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills
- Is flexible, proactive and confident leading whole classes
- Builds positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
