People Associate (Maternity Cover)

Fixed-Term Contract | Approximately 12 Months
Monday to Friday | 08:30 - 17:00

We are currently recruiting for a People Associate to join a busy and fast-paced HR team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to develop broad generalist experience while supporting a diverse workforce and contributing to a positive employee experience.

In this varied role, you will provide HR administration support, assist with employee relations processes, support recruitment and onboarding activities, and play a key role in employee engagement initiatives. Working closely with managers and colleagues across the business, you will help ensure HR processes are delivered efficiently and employees feel supported throughout their journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day HR administration support and maintaining employee records.
  • Preparing HR documentation and supporting onboarding activities.
  • Coordinating recruitment and supporting hiring processes.
  • Monitoring absence and assisting with performance management activities.
  • Supporting the delivery of learning and development initiatives.
  • Assisting with employee engagement, wellbeing activities, and HR projects.
  • Producing HR reports and supporting compliance and audit requirements.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve HR processes and employee experience.

About You

  • Previous experience within an HR, recruitment, people, or administration role.
  • A genuine interest in building a long-term career within Human Resources.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and HR systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working within a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines.
