Are you a Humanities graduate looking to inspire the next generation of historians, geographers and critical thinkers?

Considering a career in teaching and looking for exceptional classroom experience before embarking on teacher training?

Would you thrive in a high-achieving secondary school where graduates are developed into outstanding future educators?

An ambitious and inclusive secondary school in Brent is looking to appoint a talented Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant to join its thriving Humanities department this September.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a graduate in History, Geography, Politics, Religious Studies, Philosophy, Sociology or a related Humanities discipline to gain invaluable experience working alongside exceptional teachers in a supportive and forward-thinking school.

You'll play an integral role in helping students develop their analytical thinking, curiosity and confidence whilst building the classroom skills required for a successful career in education. Whether you're planning to complete a PGCE, School Direct programme or are exploring a long-term career within education, this role offers the perfect platform to develop professionally.

Your Role

As a Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support engaging History, Geography and Humanities lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group intervention sessions to raise student attainment.
  • Mentor students preparing for GCSE examinations.
  • Help create stimulating learning resources and classroom activities.
  • Encourage discussion, debate and independent thinking.
  • Work closely with teachers to monitor student progress and achievement.
  • Inspire pupils to develop a genuine passion for Humanities subjects.

Why Join This School?

  • Competitive salary of £25,500–£30,000.
  • Term-time only with an excellent work-life balance.
  • Outstanding mentoring from experienced Humanities specialists.
  • Clear progression into salaried teacher training and PGCE routes.
  • Excellent CPD programme tailored to aspiring teachers.
  • Modern teaching facilities and outstanding learning resources.
  • A collaborative staff culture that champions graduate development.
  • Easily accessible Brent location with excellent transport links.
  • Strong academic outcomes and a genuine commitment to developing future teachers.

Who We're Looking For

  • A 2:1 or First-Class degree in a Humanities-related subject.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A confident, enthusiastic and proactive approach.
  • A genuine passion for education and helping young people succeed.
  • An aspiring teacher or education professional eager to gain meaningful classroom experience.

This is far more than a graduate support role—it's an opportunity to become a valued member of an outstanding school community, inspire young people every day and build the skills, confidence and experience needed to launch a successful career in education.

Apply today by sending your CV and a Cover Letter to Ryan at KPI Education. Interviews are taking place immediately for September, and exceptional graduates will be shortlisted as applications are received.
