KPI Recruiting is proud to represent our long-standing client based in the Warrington area, who is seeking an experienced Buyer fluent in English and German to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

You will be responsible for:

• Reacting to Purchase Requisitions for Ad-hoc (Spot Buy) and Inventory Controlled items in a timely manner.
• Placing Purchase Orders in the company system.
• Expediting delivery of orders and updating Delivery Promise Dates within the system.
• Ensuring on-time delivery of goods through effective supplier monitoring and management.
• Identifying and executing cost reduction initiatives by negotiating price reductions or identifying product substitutions through formal agreement and approval with the customer.
• Reporting and tracking cost savings within the company system.
• Resolving non-conforming delivery issues and arranging the return of goods for credit or replacement.
• Resolving invoice queries.
• Ensuring company reports are maintained in a timely manner (weekly basis).

You will have:

• Fluency in German (essential).
• Experience working within a demanding manufacturing environment where continuity of production is paramount.
• Strong negotiating skills.
• Knowledge of inventory control processes.
• Proven ability to identify and execute cost-saving initiatives (e.g., price reduction, approved product substitution, product standardisation).
