An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and enthusiastic Lecturer in Geography to join a successful and growing Sixth Form and Further Education team in Wakefield. This role offers the chance to teach motivated students, shape the Geography curriculum, and make a lasting impact on learner outcomes.
The Role
You will deliver engaging and inspiring Geography lessons across A Level programmes, supporting students to achieve outstanding academic results while developing their confidence, independence, and critical thinking skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality A Level Geography teaching
- Planning engaging lessons that challenge and inspire learners
- Monitoring student progress and providing meaningful feedback
- Supporting achievement through targeted interventions
- Creating an inclusive and positive learning environment
- Developing high-quality teaching resources and schemes of work
- Contributing to curriculum development and departmental success
- Providing academic and pastoral support to students
- Maintaining accurate learner records and progress data
What We're Looking For
We are seeking an ambitious educator who:
- Holds a relevant degree in Geography or a related subject
- Has experience teaching Geography at A Level, FE, or secondary level
