Salary: Circa £50,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm (40 hours per week)

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our maintenance team at our busy recycling facility in Lakenheath. The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment across the site.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
- Responding quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns.
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults.
- Maintaining conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Fault finding on electrical control systems, motors, sensors, inverters and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant reliability and efficiency.
- Ensuring all maintenance work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Recording maintenance activities using the site's maintenance management system.
- Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving, works well under pressure, and has experience within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
Ideally you will have:
- Experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in manufacturing, recycling, quarrying, waste, aggregates, heavy industry or a similar environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- A recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC, HNC or equivalent).
- Experience working with conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics and industrial machinery.
- Basic PLC fault-finding experience would be advantageous.
- A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- A strong commitment to health and safety.
