MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT | BURNLEY | PERMANENT

Up to £50,000 DOE

Full time: 40hr per week (fully office based)

You will be…  

• Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, taking responsibility of the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation
• Managing payroll function for staff and players
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Producing monthly management accounts with commentary and analysis
• Preparing annual budgets and conducting cashflow forecasting and analysis
• Ensuring compliance with EFL regulations, including all required submissions and reporting
• Supervising and supporting the bookkeeper
• Overseeing matchday ticketing operations, including system management and reconciliations
• Liaising with club directors, auditors, and external bodies

You will have…

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA)
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Confident senior finance professional with demonstrable experience across both practice and industry (preferred)
• Experience using various financial software along with MS Excel (Sage preferred)
• Willing and flexible to work outside standard hours during home fixtures
