Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher seeking your first full-time teaching role? We are looking for a Maths Teacher to join an Outstanding secondary school in the inner London borough of Southwark starting September 2026.
This role is ideal for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) ready to begin their journey, as well as experienced maths practitioners who want to make a significant impact.

About the Math department
The Maths department is a large, well-resourced faculty of specialist teachers working collaboratively to deliver a high-quality, engaging curriculum. The department champions a research-informed pedagogy that supports deep mathematical understanding and logical reasoning at all key stages.
Key strengths of the department include:
- A curriculum aligned with the National Curriculum that promotes mathematical reasoning, problem-solving and fluency from KS3 through KS4, maximizing progress for all learners.
- Use of digital platforms such as Hegarty Maths to support independent learning and homework.
- A strong track record of positive outcomes at GCSE, with pupils achieving well above national averages in maths and demonstrating strong progress. The school’s overall exam performance continues to rise, with high proportions of students securing standard and strong passes at GCSE.
- A commitment to enrichment, including participation in local and national maths competitions and scholarship opportunities that extend pupil learning beyond the classroom.

The role
As a Maths Teacher you will:
- Teach maths across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that challenge and support students of all abilities.
- Contribute to planning and assessment within a forward-thinking team.
- Use a range of strategies and resources to ensure strong progress and high attainment.
- Support intervention programmes, revision sessions and enrichment activities.
