Key duties & responsibilities
- Effective & efficient delivery of the PPM and reactive work within the mechanical/facilities team.
- Facilitate control of contractors during site visits to ensure adherence to RAM`s and site procedures.
- Undertake planned preventive maintenance, reactive breakdowns, repair activities and inspection routines on facilities and equipment as required.
- Maintain equipment in accordance with the planned schedules and adhering to site and corporate safety and c.GMP standards (additionally identifying parts, further interventions and recommending changes to schedules as required).
- Support and participate in equipment and statutory planned shutdowns within manufacturing areas.
- Undertake non-routine improvement work on facilities and equipment.
- Advise where changes to existing systems and equipment will facilitate efficiency improvements or direct cost savings to be made or improve compliance.
- To undertake installation, commissioning and qualification activities.
Skills/Experience Required
- You will be a fully qualified Mechanical Engineer (Apprentice trained or equivalent).
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer in an FMCG, Packaging, Food or Drink related industry. Other industry may also be considered based on specific experience.
- Hands-on experience with Steam/ water systems, HVAC, Compressed Air Systems.
- Ideally you will have some sort of electrical qualification and electrical experience.
