Permanent | £33,550 | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | Crewe
Our client is seeking an experienced Operational Trainer (MHE) to join their busy logistics operation in Crewe. This is an excellent opportunity for an established MHE Instructor or an experienced trainer looking to return to a training-focused role.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing colleagues, promoting safe working practices, and supporting operational excellence across a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging practical and classroom-based training sessions
- Conduct inductions for new starters and temporary workers
- Train, assess and re-certify MHE operators
- Promote and maintain high standards of health and safety
- Maintain accurate training records and certification documentation
- Liaise with Operational, HR and Health & Safety teams
- Identify opportunities to improve training effectiveness and operational performance
- Ensure all mandatory training requirements are completed across the shift
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience operating MHE within a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
- Experience delivering practical training, coaching, or mentoring colleagues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and motivate individuals with different learning styles
Preferred Qualifications:
- RTITB, ITSSAR or AITT MHE Instructor qualification
- Manual Handling Instructor qualification
- Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence (or equivalent)
Desirable:
- Experience within a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment
- Previous instructor qualifications that may have expired but can be refreshed
- Strong administration and record-keeping skills
