Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (Alternating Days & Nights)
Hours: 6:00am - 6:00pm / 6:00pm - 6:00am

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Food Manufacturing

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing food manufacturer in Stoke-on-Trent that is investing in its people, equipment, and facilities. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing engineering team where you'll play a key role in ensuring production runs efficiently while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving a range of production and packaging machinery, ensuring maximum uptime across the site.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults quickly and effectively
• Supporting mechanical repairs and maintenance where required
• Working on conveyors, packaging machinery, processing equipment, motors, drives, sensors, and control systems
• Assisting with continuous improvement and reliability projects
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with food manufacturing standards
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the site's CMMS

About You

We're looking for an engineer who has:

• Electrical bias with strong fault-finding abilities
• Mechanical maintenance skills to support day-to-day engineering activities
• Previous experience within food manufacturing or another fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment
• Recognised engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND or equivalent)
• Experience with PLC fault finding would be advantageous
• A proactive attitude with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
