We are excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer (electrical OR Mechanical bias) to join a highly reputable manufacturer in Telford. The role focuses on performing planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring optimal performance of the plant in line with health, safety, and quality standards, while driving improvements across the site.

• Continuously improve plant operations, processes, and the working environment, collaborating across departments
• Assist in monitoring external contractors and ensuring compliance with site rules.
• Respond quickly to unscheduled plant stoppages to minimize downtime
• Utilise system for recording labour, materials, and performing planned maintenance tasks (PPM)
• Safely and efficiently repair plant equipment and services
• Participate in maintaining the overall efficiency of the maintenance department, including tool management, housekeeping, and spare parts control
• Diagnose and resolve plant/process defects using Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

Skills/Experience Required

A recognized engineering apprenticeship and/ or formal qualification.

Ideally you will have mechanical and electrical skills/ experience with hands-on experience with machinery such as presses, castings, lasers, automated machinery etc although, training and development is offered.
