We are currently seeking a highly skilled Multi Skilled Technician with a strong electrical bias to support the operations of a major industrial facility in the Winsford area.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a long-established, forward-thinking business that plays a vital role in the UK's infrastructure. You will be working on a large-scale, safety-critical site that demands high levels of technical ability, teamwork, and reliability.
The Role
As part of the engineering team responsible for surface and shaft-based facilities, your role will be to ensure legal compliance, equipment reliability, and continuous plant operation through effective maintenance, repair, and fault diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and statutory checks
- Diagnose and repair faults in electrical and mechanical systems
- Carry out installations and modifications to plant equipment
- Work cross-functionally (including rigging, welding, and burning tasks)
- Support Continuous Improvement (CIP) initiatives
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures
What We’re Looking For:
- Recognised apprenticeship or time-served background in multi-skilled engineering
- Strong experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance
- Previous work in a heavy industrial, mining, or similar environment
- Competence in:
- Electrical fault finding
- Welding, rigging, and burning
- Basic instrumentation
- IT & communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy, safety-led environment
