Multi Skilled Operative

Location: Newmarket
Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm to 10:00pm
Salary: £28,724 per annum

KPI Recruiting are currently looking for a Multi Skilled Operative to join a successful and growing food manufacturing business. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced production operative looking to broaden their skills and take on greater responsibility within a fast-paced production environment.

The Role

As a Multi Skilled Operative, you will support the Team Leader in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the production line while maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety and productivity. You will also be required to step into the Team Leader's role when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with production line set-ups and product changeovers.
• Support the Team Leader with the day-to-day running of the production line.
• Complete all required production checks and paperwork accurately.
• Ensure products are manufactured in line with company, customer and food safety standards.
• Carry out quality inspections and process checks.
• Maintain full traceability throughout the production process.
• Support sauce mixing, sleeve printing and Amazon production activities.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across the production area.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and Company policies and procedures.
• Promote a right-first-time approach and continuous improvement culture.

About You

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Previous food manufacturing or production experience.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and food safety standards.
• HACCP and allergen awareness.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Basic IT skills.
• A proactive and flexible approach to work.

Desirable Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Safety
• Level 2 Health & Safety (including Manual Handling)
• Allergen Training
