Music Teacher - September start

• Mainstream Secondary and 6^th Form Academy school
• Graded GOOD – circa 1800 pupils
• Hackney, London
• Role suitable for qualified music teachers with QTS (or working towards QTS)
• Trainee, ECT and experienced music teachers are welcome to apply
• Inner London MPS £36,745 to £47,666 per annum
• Permanent Music Teacher role from Easter or September
• Bachelor in Music or equivalent
• Graded in Music Theory and Piano preferred – other gradings welcome
• Artistically leaning school – lots of performance – drama, music and dance

This dramatic, musical and celebratory school and sixth form has a vacancy for a vivid and creative music teacher to join from September. There are currently two music teachers in the department – one of whom will transition to an SLT and part time music teacher role upon the appointment of the right music teacher.

This school is set in the heart of hackney and serves a greatly low-income catchment area. The school believes in providing an artistic outlet to all learners and this relationship between the school, the pupil population and the wider community has fostered a positive and productive place of progress.

As a music teacher you will be teaching in one of two purpose-built music rooms that surround an auditorium/ stage are of the school. The music resources are well cared for and at the start of 2023 the school received funding for a studio and digital resources centre
