A forward-thinking secondary school in Coventry is seeking a dedicated Secondary Music Teacher to join the team from April 2026. This is a full-time, permanent position, and applications are welcome from both ECTs and experienced teachers.
The Role
As a Music Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging, well-structured Music lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Inspire pupils to develop creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of music.
- Teach a broad curriculum including performance, composition, listening, and appraisal.
- Support practical music-making, rehearsals, and use of music technology.
- Contribute to curriculum development within a supportive and ambitious Performing Arts department.
- Play an active role in enrichment, including choirs, ensembles, concerts, and school productions.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds QTS with a Music specialism.
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and effective classroom practice.
- Has high expectations and a commitment to raising attainment.
- Thrives in a diverse, inner-city school setting.
- Can play at least one instrument to a good standard.
- Is reflective, proactive, and committed to professional growth.
