We are currently recruiting for an experienced Nursery Chef to work within a nursery setting in Edinburgh on a temporary basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing fresh, nutritious meals for children while maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking nutritious meals and snacks for children
• Following menus and catering requirements
• Catering for dietary requirements and allergies
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Managing food preparation and kitchen duties
• Monitoring stock and minimising food waste
• Following all health & safety and food hygiene procedures
• Working closely with nursery staff to provide a high-quality catering service

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Nursery Chef, School Chef or similar catering role
• PVG membership required
• Food Hygiene Certificate desirable
• Knowledge of children's nutritional requirements
• Good understanding of allergies and dietary requirements
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently
• Enhanced child-related PVG required for the role
