SW3, London

£27,000–£28,000 per annum | Monday–Friday

Are you a Nutrition graduate looking to gain valuable experience working with young people in a school environment?

We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant position at a highly regarded school in SW3, London. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to build experience in education, teaching, pastoral support or working with young people.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students with their day-to-day learning and development, working alongside teaching staff to create a positive and engaging classroom environment.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students in the classroom with their learning.
  • Providing one-to-one and small-group support.
  • Helping students stay focused, organised and engaged.
  • Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson preparation.
  • Building positive relationships with students and acting as a positive role model.
  • Supporting students with their confidence, independence and development.
  • Providing general pastoral and learning support where required.
  • Getting involved in wider school activities and events.
  • Working closely with teachers and the wider support team.

What We're Looking For

  • Nutrition degree – 2:1 or above.
  • Education/degree must have been completed within the UK.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine interest in working with children and young people.
  • A positive, patient and proactive attitude.
  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable.

Relevant experience could include:

  • Classroom or school experience.
  • Teaching Assistant or tutoring experience.
  • Social care or support work.
  • Youth work or mentoring.
  • Volunteering with children or young people.
  • Experience supporting individuals with additional needs.
