An ambitious and high-performing secondary school is seeking an Oxbridge Graduate Academic Mentor to support high-attaining GCSE and A-Level students in the lead-up to summer examinations. This role is designed for exceptional graduates who can inspire, challenge, and academically stretch students aiming for the highest outcomes.

The Role:

As an Academic Mentor, you will work with small groups of high-achieving students, delivering targeted academic support in core subjects within your own subject specialism (e.g. Maths, English, Sciences, Humanities). You will help students refine exam technique, deepen subject knowledge, and develop independent learning skills essential for top grades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-level academic mentoring to GCSE and A-Level students
  • Plan and lead small-group intervention sessions focused on exam success
  • Support students with advanced subject content and exam strategy
  • Provide detailed feedback to help students move from high to top grades
  • Work closely with subject teachers to align support with exam specifications
  • Encourage academic confidence, discipline, and ambition

Ideal Candidate:

  • Oxbridge graduate (or equivalent top-tier university)
  • Exceptional subject knowledge in a core academic discipline
