About the Role:

As a Physics Academic Mentor, you will work closely with students across KS3–KS5, delivering high-impact academic interventions, supporting practical learning, and helping students master complex Physics concepts.

You’ll play a key role in pushing high-achievers to the very top grades while also supporting those who need targeted guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions in Physics
  • Support GCSE & A-Level students aiming for grades 7–9 / A–A*
  • Assist in practical lessons using modern, well-equipped laboratories
  • Break down complex theories into engaging, accessible explanations
  • Track student progress and contribute to raising attainment across the department

What We’re Looking For:

  • A First-Class or high 2:1 degree in Physics or related subject
  • Strong academic background and passion for Science education
  • Confident communicator with the ability to motivate and inspire
  • Ambition to pursue teaching or a career in education
  • Previous tutoring, mentoring, or school-based experience (desirable)
