Duties:

KPI Recruiting are on the look out for a Plate Mounter for our client based in Crewe.

As a Plate Mounter your days and hours are:

  • Monday- Friday
  • 06:00- 14:00/ 14:00- 22:00/ 22:00- 06:00 (rotating)

The rate of pay as a Plate Mounter is:

  • £13.00- £15.06 p/h

The duties and responsibilities as a Plate Mounter are:

  • Accurately mount printing plates onto cylinders and sleeves using video mounting machines
  • Read and interpret job tickets, production specifications, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Carry out detailed quality control checks throughout the mounting process
  • Ensure printing plates are correctly aligned and positioned to maintain production quality standards
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain plate mounting equipment in accordance with company procedures
  • Identify and report any defects, faults, or quality concerns
  • Complete production records and relevant documentation accurately
  • Work closely with production and quality teams to meet deadlines and production schedules
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
  • Follow all health and safety policies and procedures at all times

Skills and Experience required for a Plate Mounter are:

Essential

  • Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.
  • Comfortable working rotational shift patterns.

Preferred

  • Previous experience within a plate mounting, printing, packaging, manufacturing, or production environment.
  • Experience operating production machinery.
  • Understanding of quality control processes and procedures.
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic machine maintenance experience.
