Duties:
KPI Recruiting are on the look out for a Plate Mounter for our client based in Crewe.
As a Plate Mounter your days and hours are:
- Monday- Friday
- 06:00- 14:00/ 14:00- 22:00/ 22:00- 06:00 (rotating)
The rate of pay as a Plate Mounter is:
- £13.00- £15.06 p/h
The duties and responsibilities as a Plate Mounter are:
- Accurately mount printing plates onto cylinders and sleeves using video mounting machines
- Read and interpret job tickets, production specifications, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure customer requirements are met
- Carry out detailed quality control checks throughout the mounting process
- Ensure printing plates are correctly aligned and positioned to maintain production quality standards
- Operate, monitor, and maintain plate mounting equipment in accordance with company procedures
- Identify and report any defects, faults, or quality concerns
- Complete production records and relevant documentation accurately
- Work closely with production and quality teams to meet deadlines and production schedules
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures at all times
Skills and Experience required for a Plate Mounter are:
Essential
- Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.
- Comfortable working rotational shift patterns.
Preferred
- Previous experience within a plate mounting, printing, packaging, manufacturing, or production environment.
- Experience operating production machinery.
- Understanding of quality control processes and procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic machine maintenance experience.
