Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities - Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, your key tasks will include:

• Working collaboratively with teachers to support class-based learning
• Providing intervention support to individuals and small groups in English, maths, and other subjects
• Encouraging student participation and helping build confidence
• Assisting in managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive learning space
• Supporting SEN or EAL pupils as required
• Gaining valuable experience to prepare for teacher training routes such as a PGCE or Schools Direct

Who We’re Looking For - Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant

This role is ideal for a graduate who:

• Has achieved a 2:1 or higher in any subject (degrees in Psychology, Education, English, or similar are advantageous)
• Has a passion for education and supporting children’s development
• Communicates clearly and builds positive relationships with students and staff
• Is considering a long-term career in teaching or educational support
• May have prior experience with young learners through tutoring, mentoring, or coaching (not essential)
