KPI Education is partnering with a high-performing primary school in Ealing to recruit a Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.

We are particularly interested in Russell Group graduates with First Class or 2:1 degrees. This role would suit graduates looking to build a career in education or gain valuable classroom experience before starting teacher training.

The Role

As a Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils throughout the school day, helping them engage with learning and achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting teaching and learning within a primary classroom.

• Providing 1:1 support and assisting with small-group sessions.

• Delivering targeted interventions in English, Maths and other core subjects.

• Supporting pupils with reading, writing, vocabulary and numeracy.

• Helping pupils with SEN access lessons and classroom activities.

• Applying knowledge of psychology, education or child development when supporting pupils.

• Preparing learning resources and assisting with lesson organisation.

• Encouraging positive behaviour, independence and confidence.

• Monitoring pupil progress and sharing observations with the class teacher.

• Contributing to a safe, inclusive and ambitious learning environment.

• Supporting enrichment activities, school trips and wider school life.

About You

We are looking for academically strong graduates who are enthusiastic, approachable and passionate about children's education and development.

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold a First Class or 2:1 degree from a Russell Group university.

• Ideally have studied Psychology, Education Studies or a related subject.

• Have previous experience working with children, ideally in a school setting.

• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Be confident working with primary-aged pupils.

• Show patience, empathy and a positive attitude.

• Be organised, proactive and attentive to detail.

• Work effectively as part of a collaborative school team.

• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupils' welfare.

• Have an interest in teacher training, educational psychology, SEND or another education-related career.

• Be available for a full-time, long-term position.
