An exciting opportunity is available for a Process Technician to join a growing R&D and manufacturing operation in Liverpool. This role is ideal for candidates looking to build a career within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical or advanced manufacturing environments.
Working alongside Industrial Engineers and Operations teams, you will support process improvement, production operations, equipment monitoring, batch quality checks, and continuous improvement activities within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and an interest in process optimisation and GMP-regulated production.
Key Responsibilities
- Support manufacturing and production activities within a GMP-regulated environment
- Work alongside Industrial Engineers to improve workflows, layouts, and operational efficiency
- Monitor manufacturing processes and assist with troubleshooting simple production issues
- Complete batch quality checks and maintain accurate equipment logbooks
- Ensure production areas are maintained to high housekeeping and safety standards
- Follow all cGMP, quality, safety, and operational procedures at all times
- Assist with incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
- Report machine faults and escalate operational concerns where required
- Support production targets and daily operational performance
- Complete all required training and maintain compliance records
What We're Looking For
- Degree or Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bio-processing or similar
- 0-2 years' experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, FMCG, or regulated manufacturing environments
- Graduates with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply
- Understanding of GMP/cGMP environments would be advantageous
- Knowledge of plant operations, process equipment, autoclaves or manufacturing systems
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with a hands-on approach
- Ability to work within fast-paced production environments
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and digital training systems
- Experience with Emerson DeltaV, LIMS or TrackWise would be beneficial
- Flexible to support shift operations where required
