About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Machine Shop Manager to lead a Light Machine Shop (BTech). This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll oversee operations, customer service, team management, and ensure the delivery of high-quality machining services.

You’ll be responsible for driving performance, maintaining safety standards, and supporting the growth and profitability of the business unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the BTech business unit
• Maintain a safe and compliant working environment
• Achieve order intake and profit margin targets
• Ensure quality standards and customer satisfaction
• Manage work scheduling, resources, and team performance
• Support ISO9000 Quality Management System implementation
• Handle quotations, customer relations, and administrative tasks
• Maintain equipment and ensure operational readiness
• Build a resilient and effective team
• Perform ad hoc duties as required

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• 5+ years’ experience in machine shop environments
• Strong understanding of machine tools (including CNC)
• Ability to interpret technical drawings/specifications
• Clear communication and interpersonal skills
• Business acumen and profitability awareness

Desirable:

• 2+ years in a similar leadership role
• General IT proficiency
• Determined, adaptable, and proactive approach
