Production Planning & Control Coordinator
Location: Sandbach
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am to 4:00pm
- Friday: 7:30am to 1:30pm
Pay: £12.90 per hour
6 Months Fixed Term Contract
About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Production Planning & Control Coordinator to support our Production Controller and help ensure the smooth flow of work throughout the factory. This is a varied role involving production scheduling, administration, route planning, and process improvement, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage MOV and control flow processes to support efficient production operations.
- Implement and maintain production schedules across the business.
- Print and manage service barcodes accurately and efficiently.
- Support the Production Controller with delivery date planning and communication.
- Implement production schedules and processes across all business divisions.
- Provide visibility of work in progress, helping departments understand the status and location of jobs throughout the factory.
- Support the Production Controller with booking EDI transactions and associated administration.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and workflow.
- Maintain accurate filing and records of completed schedules and production documentation.
- Support daily route planning for drivers to ensure timely deliveries and collections.
- Liaise with production, logistics, and administration teams to ensure schedules and customer requirements are met.
Skills and Experience
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and team-working abilities.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, scheduling, planning, or production environment would be advantageous.
