About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Automation Project Manager to join an advanced operations team delivering innovative products and manufacturing technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as engineering and automation project lead for assigned projects
- Serve as primary point of contact for stakeholders suppliers and vendors
- Develop and manage project documentation including URS capital proposals change control and validation plans
- Manage project budgets and authorise vendor payments
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders and leadership
- Support product development with DFM and DFA input
- Lead equipment selection and supplier evaluation
- Manage installation validation and handover
- Coordinate POP trials and execution
- Support maintenance documentation and best practice
- Drive continuous improvement and lessons learned
Skills and Experience
- Experience in highly automated manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of conversion lamination assembly inspection packaging and labelling
- Experience with material handling systems and AGVs
- Experience delivering new product introductions
- Understanding of full project lifecycle
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to work with cross functional and global teams
- Strong analytical and decision making skills
- High attention to detail and ability to prioritise
- Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks
Qualifications
- Degree in engineering or related discipline
- Project management certification such as PRINCE2 PMP or APM preferred
- Lean Six Sigma desirable
- Experience in regulated industries advantageous
