Psychology Graduate Learning Support Assistant – Newham

An Outstanding secondary school in Newham is recruiting 5 Psychology Graduate Learning Support Assistants to join its highly regarded SEN and Inclusion team from September.
This full-time role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your experience supporting students with additional learning needs while making a genuine impact on young people's educational outcomes.
The Role
As a Psychology Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Work with pupils who experience barriers to learning and academic progress
- Support students with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH and moderate learning difficulties
- Assist teachers in delivering inclusive classroom learning
- Build positive relationships that improve engagement, confidence and attainment
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and the SEN department
What We're Looking For
- Psychology Graduate (2:2 or above preferred)
- Final-year Psychology students encouraged to apply
- Passion for supporting young people with additional needs
- Interest in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Teaching or Mental Health careers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, resilient and proactive approach
