An Outstanding Secondary School and Sixth Form in Chingford is seeking exceptional Psychology graduates to join its Learning Support team from September.
This highly rewarding Learning Support Assistant role offers the opportunity to work directly with students who require additional support, whilst gaining invaluable school-based experience alongside experienced SEN professionals and outstanding teachers.
Psychology Graduate Learning Support Assistant – The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small intervention groups.
- Work with pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH and additional learning needs.
- Help students overcome barriers to learning and achieve academic success.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff.
- Monitor student progress and contribute to support strategies.
- Develop practical experience relevant to Educational Psychology and SEN.
Psychology Graduate Learning Support Assistant – Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
- A 1st Class or 2:1 Psychology degree from a Russell Group university.
- Strong GCSE and A-Level results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine interest in supporting young people.
- A proactive, resilient and professional attitude.
Previous experience working with young people, SEN, tutoring, mentoring, youth work or coaching is desirable but not essential.
