Are you a Psychology graduate (2:1 or above) with an interest in supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
Would you like to develop your skills in psychology and gain first-hand experience supporting pupils with complex needs?

A dedicated specialist school in North London are seeking a Psychology Graduate SEN teaching assistant to join their school in September. The school has a reputation for providing outstanding support for staff and students. The school cater for students aged 5–19 who have a primary diagnosis of autism. Many of the students may have additional needs including a cognitive impairment, speech and language difficulties or difficulties associated with social communication.
Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant -The Role
- Earn up to £650 per week
- Full-time, long-term Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant role
- Work with students 1:1 and in small groups to support learning and development
- Support emotional regulation, communication, and daily routines
- Collaborate with SEN teachers and therapists to implement individual support plans
- Assist with classroom management and contribute to a positive learning environment
- Gain insight into intervention strategies, therapeutic approaches, and EHCP processes
Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant - Person Specification
- Minimum 2:1 degree in Psychology, or related fields preferred
- Experience working with young people with SEN (in any setting) is highly desirable
- High levels of empathy, patience, and resilience
- Confident, calm, and compassionate approach to behaviour and emotional needs
- A genuine passion for working in SEN education and helping vulnerable students succeed.
