Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant
• Full-time, long-term position starting in September 2025
• Earn up to £500 per week as a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant
• Based in a primary school in Liverpool – single location placement
• Provide academic and emotional support to children across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• Ideal role for aspiring educational psychologists or future teachers
• Applicants should hold a 2:1 or above in Psychology or a closely related subject
• Previous experience with children (school, youth work, volunteering) is highly desirable
• Support children with SEN, emotional needs, or those requiring extra pastoral care
• Work alongside experienced teaching staff, SENCOs and support teams
• In-house teacher training routes available from 2026
• Interviews taking place in June!

KPI Education are working in partnership with a nurturing and inclusive primary school in Liverpool that is committed to providing a well-rounded education and tailored support to all pupils. The school is seeking a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant who can bring energy, empathy, and a strong understanding of child development to the classroom.

As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, your role will involve supporting children on both an academic and pastoral level. You may work one-on-one with pupils who have additional needs or require extra help managing their emotions and behaviour, or support small groups with interventions to boost confidence and attainment.

The school is particularly keen to meet a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant who has a clear interest in child mental health, SEN, or behavioural support. You will gain valuable insight into classroom dynamics, child psychology in practice, and multi-agency working – all of which will be beneficial if you are considering a future in educational psychology or teaching.

This Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone who is looking for meaningful, hands-on experience before progressing onto further study or teacher training. Opportunities for long-term development and training will be available from 2026 for the right candidate.
