Liverpool (L8)
£90 - £120 per day
Full-Time | Term Time Only
Immediate Starts & September 2026 Starts Available

Your Degree Could Change a Child's Story

You didn't study Psychology just to understand behaviour—you wanted to understand people.

Now's your chance to put that knowledge into practice.

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the L8 area of Liverpool is looking for a compassionate Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to support children both academically and emotionally. Whether you're available to start immediately or are looking to secure a September 2026 position, we'd love to hear from you.

This is an ideal opportunity for graduates considering a career in Educational Psychology, Teaching, Speech and Language Therapy, Child Mental Health or SEND.

Every day you'll help children overcome challenges, celebrate their successes and build the confidence they need to thrive.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll:

  • Support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions
  • Work alongside teachers and SEND professionals to support pupils with additional learning and emotional needs
  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Help children develop confidence, resilience and independence
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and their families

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds a degree in Psychology (or a closely related discipline)
  • Has a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and wellbeing
  • Is calm, empathetic and patient
  • Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Wants to gain meaningful school-based experience before progressing into a psychology or education career

Experience working with children is desirable but not essential—we're looking for the right attitude, compassion and willingness to learn.

Why You'll Love This Role

  • £90 - £120 per day
  • Immediate and September 2026 start dates available
  • Gain invaluable experience in a supportive primary school
  • Work alongside experienced teachers and SEND specialists
  • Ongoing CPD and training opportunities
  • Build skills highly valued by Educational Psychology and teacher training programmes
  • Be part of a friendly, collaborative school community where every contribution matters
  • Make a genuine difference to children's confidence, wellbeing and future

Some graduates spend a year wondering what to do next. Others spend it making a lasting impact.
